Brenden Howe's 572ci powered 85 Mustang
Brenden's 85 Mustang is a true street machine. A FRPP A-460 block and heads provide the base for a whopping 572 cubic inches. The heads and intake were ported by Charlie Evans with B.F. Evans providing all of the valvetrain components. Jomar stud girdles keep everything running smooth, with a Crower crank and rods doing the grunt work.
Being a street driven car, Brenden's Mustang has full exhaust and small 28-10.50 tires. With severe traction problems for obvious reasons the car so far has run low 6's in the 1/8 mile, but should be capable of sub 5.80's once all the power is under control. We almost feel sorry for the Chevy guy that pulls up next to Brenden at a stop light.
